Vienna’s first cool spot in Esterházypark – right next to the “Haus des Meeres” aqua zoo – is now open and refreshes visitors with mist spray showers, trees and greenery on hot summer days.

Vienna’s first cool spot with Raintime mist showers
The unique 30 m² “Coolspot” – a circular, planted and shaded place to stay made up of three rings with mist nozzles is almost 3.40 meters high and cools the ambient temperature by up to 6 degrees with its spray nozzles. As soon as the temperature exceeds 30 °Celsius, an attempt is made to cool the temperature down by means of roofs, the new water, which has a cooling effect, and primarily through mist showers.
RAINTIME CLIMATE TREES, MIST SHOWERS AND SPRAY MIST TO HEAT
Our mist showers cool the environment with a fine spray mist. A total of around 40 high-pressure nozzles were installed as follows:

- A water feature / fog game consisting of 11 floor nozzles consisting of water jet nozzles and low pressure mist nozzles
- Two floor cooling systems made of high-pressure mist nozzles and mist showers with a diameter of 2.20 meters and a climate tree made of mist nozzles

Cool outdoor areas with fog technology
A cooling of the ambient temperature takes place with mist showers by the so-called evaporation cooling. This is created by pressing water through fine nozzles at high pressure. These fine water droplets (water mist) evaporate in the heat and cool down the ambient temperature.
