Raintime presents smart irrigation system for CAPE 10
At Raintime, we are extremely pleased that the groundbreaking Spring 2023 project commissioned by the prestigious “Wiener Netze” allowed us to demonstrate our expertise in smart irrigation technology. It was an exciting challenge to implement the irrigation system for the impressive CAPE 10 building (https://cape10.at/) and advance our mission to promote a sustainable and green environment.

Control technology via LoRaWAN®
In this project, we implemented a pioneering control technology that uses LoRaWAN® (Long Range Wide Area Network) communication. LoRaWAN® offers impressive range and energy efficiency, making it an ideal choice for networking irrigation components.

Cloud-based control – convenient & efficient
The control of our irrigation system is based on cloud technology, developed by our long-standing partner and specialist in LoRaWAN®, KAISER.WORKS GMBH. This offers the advantage that programming and monitoring of irrigation times and amounts can be done comfortably from the office. By using real-time data and intelligent sensors, we can adjust irrigation precisely to the actual needs of the plants. Water meters, temperature and soil moisture sensors play a crucial role here and enable precise recording of environmental conditions.
Water efficiency in focus
A combination of water meters, temperature and soil moisture sensors allows us to automatically adjust watering times to the actual needs of the plants. This smart technology minimizes water consumption and prevents overwatering of the plants. This is not only to their advantage, but also to save valuable water resources.
